Remember it from the movie theater last night, great line

Only 1 listen but biggest letdown and i blame all the hype. Still was really fucking awesome though? Looking forward to working through it quite a bit more.

Mike is shredding all over this album but i wouldnt say he has very memorable solos? At least not yet, perhaps.

This outro could have maybe benefited from crafting some sort of beginning, middle, and end as far as the solo goes.

I think I remember Clouds from the lyrics in the cinema…but could be wrong. On Watts interview he talked about Ed developing some kind of lyrics about Stevie Nicks relashionship with her band…or Lindsey…

Will try to find the exact quote, and some of the story there to see if we can frame this.

Honestly for this one I think the song prior to the mike climax is the best part

The title “Waiting for Stevie” really jumped out at people. I don’t know what it’s about, but it feels like it’s someone waiting for Fleetwood Mac to take the stage at a show.

“That’s a really great story about that, which I really, really feel like Ed’s got to tell you. But it definitely is about waiting for Stevie. We just started messing around, doing what two guys with guitars do, and that song was born. That was one of the songs we recorded at the old studio house.”

I might have crossed my wires…its from the guy interviewing Watt…He doesnt really clarify that much.

Elsewhere in the interview, Vedder opens up about a number of Dark Matter songs. He describes the cut “Waiting for Stevie” as being about “a young girl not feeling appreciated by her peers, who finds relief and connection in music at a show.”

I thought I caught this last night too at the theater. Anxiously awaiting my next proper listen on Friday. Loving the lyric interpretations here. For such an uplifting 'sounding' record these some of Ed's most insightful yet world weary, dare I say darker, lyrics in years.

Seems like he is maybe playing with the Landside lyric a bit and theme of her song Storm

This song is massive. Fucking. Massive.
