Shaky dialogue but looks great.

Telemachus referring to Odysseys as "my dad" is a weird choice to me. "my father" would've made more sense to me. I know Telemachus is supposed to be a sort of 21-year-old baby child, but it still felt weird

I was kinda hoping for a, like, modern day reinterpretation of The Odyssey featuring, say, someone like a goofy George Clooney

This looks joyless. No way it’s better than the 90s made for tv version. I mean that.

Marvel movies have color, though Batman, Cat Woman, and Spider-Man are all prominently in this so it’s got some comic book vibes.

I shouldn't have watched the trailer. Now I can't stop thinking about how utterly shite Tom Holland's American accent is.

Still, it looks like there will be some epic scenes. The cyclops, giant whirlpool etc.

I hope Burt was just making a joke about the cast. It looks nothing like a Marvel movie.

Also, shouldn't they be speaking Ancient Greek?

An even more ancient Greek than the ancient Greek we know. Homer's stories were about characters and events that would've taken place 400 years before his time, on the other side of a Dark Age. Odysseus would've spoken some kind of Mycenaean Greek

What if the real odyssey was wading through everyone’s weird hangups about this movie all along?
