I bought two copies on ebay and didn't have to send proof. Just emailed and said they were skipping and they mailed me out replacements.

Strat, it sounds like your low volume is a manufacturing issue, but since it's not visible you might have a hard time getting it exchanged. My suggestion to you is to scratch the hell out of it, then take a picture of that.

i already emailed them :\ Hope to hear back. Someone noted that another purchaser on the pit pointed out a similar issue and they replaced it. Fingers crossed....

I had put on BRMC's record after listening to Lightning Bolt, forgetting about the volume issue, and damn near blew my ear drums. I should due. It is America after all...

I've sent off an e-mail explaining the volume issues too, strat. I'll let you know if they respond!

Argh, I immediately got a message back that said the mailbox was full. Did anyone else get this message?

I got a replacement vinyl yesterday. JUST the vinyl, no gatefold, which is what was damaged. I think I saw them implying that the packaging would come later.

EDIT. Yeah.

Once notified, replacement vinyl will begin shipping the week of October 28th. If you require a replacement on the packaging, please be advised that this will take anywhere from 4-6 weeks as parts of the packaging are made by hand.

Finally got a response from a real person this morning, and a replacement should be coming next week! So if anyone else was getting bounced back yesterday, I'd try now.

Replacement sounds perfect.

i'm listening to mine right now and it sounds fine.

So - it doesn't appear to be all roses with the replacement copies

alright, just played my replacement and it fucking skips during my father's son. that song is unlistenable
