It starts feeling fake when he starts talking about the Jeff incident.
Feeling fake?? Clearly fake.
Actually, after looking at the guy's Facebook profile, I'm now convinced it's real.
I'm not on facebook but if it is real then the guy is a moron and it now becomes hysterical he got fired.
His comment about Ed having issues is hilariously ironic in the context of that whole discussion.
Ed has issues. Guitar issues!
The people going apeshit for him being fired don't though, right?
Have guitar issues? Uh, I have no way of knowing.

I like how your narrative in this thread went from "come on, it's just their relationship" to "guy was an idiot and deserved to be fired".

Lol the facebook page im on has the dude posting 'ted nugent for president' and NRA related shit.

Even if this dude was his guitar tech no way they were ever friends.

Is rick weinman definitely ricky ramones real name? Is that beardy dude definitely ricky ramone?

I doubt the guy was playing a prank on him, you'd assume after 17 years he'd knew how hed react.

One of Ed's all-time best-friends was Johnny Ramone, a gun-supporting Republican.

I kinda don't remember saying he deserved to be fired. I said I think it's hilarious he got fired because he's a moron. I also thought I said "I think" that's just how their relationship is. But I get what you're sayin :D

But also like you mention, Johnny Ramone was Ed's best friend and I've heard from people that Johnny loved Ed to death. I don't believe for a second he "warned" Rick to watch out for Ed. I don't think the person who has that account knows how much Ed and Johnny loved each other. He should have went with a different Ramone and not Johnny. But who knows.

With the huge caveat that I have no idea how these people treat each other, it doesn't seem that far fetched. I'm well aware of how problematic my best friend can be, and if another friend of mine were to start working for him, I'd probably let them know. "Good luck. He can be an asshole sometimes."

Ted nugent though. For president though.

I give up. I still think its fake.Lol at eds shocking rockstar behaviour causing people to quit and fans to worry, comprising of forgetting to introduce a bandmember, kicking out one fan and dropping a guitar on the floor. RIP PEARL JAM.

If its real then this dude is pretty unprofessional and kinda overdramatic.

Either way this is pretty amusing.

So you think some fan followed the life story of this guitar tech, posed as him on Facebook for 5 years with check-ins, pictures and status updates? I mean, Pearl Jam fans are fucking weird, but I don't know.

Also the way you're saying it is in passing and off the cuff. Your not gonna remember a simple comment 17 years later. This guy is saying it like Johnny told him Ed has horrible issues and I'm warning you not to work for him. One, I don't believe Johnny would have said something like that about Ed. Two, if he did say it, yet he's cool enough to work with for 17 years then maybe the guy is just bitter and trying to think of a way to make it dramatic and not his fault.

Whether it's true or not, it's very unprofessional to bring up in a public forum. About as unprofessional as how Ed treated him on stage that night (which, I guess, itself was as unprofessional as not being able to tune a fucking guitar).

Who said it's a fan? What if it's Stone or Jeff?
