Pretty nice description.
I've always loved the artwork for this one. And the record as well. There's a few songs I like less, but the general feel is there on all of them. Really really like it.

I haven't put in on in a long time. I can never find the disc.

I listened to it again last night. Just gorgeous. I've always held Ten in such high regard because of the impact it had on my life, and how consistently great the songs are. But as I've grown, it's become more of a nostalgia album. I could see a day when Riot Act replaces it as #2 on my list.
But yeah, the sound, the artwork, all of it bleeds together so nicely. I just adore this album.

Cropduster has aged so well. It's a smart tune. I like Half Full so much more than I used to, as well.
I can appreciate Ghost, Get Right, Green Disease and Bushleaguer for what they're trying to do, but I'd prefer the album without them.

Get Right has taken the longest to grow on me. It's still my least favorite song by a mile. But I used to really hate it. Now, I think it's fun and I don't skip it anymore.
Green Disease and Bushleaguer are great, I think. Green Disease is another one of those songs that I think is really underrated.
Ghost is probably the exact middle of the pack. A good song, not great, not below average.

i adore Green Disease when i first hear it, now its a great song when it appears live...specially these last tours. They nailed it.
Ghost..i love the studio version, live sounds like they havent quite learn how to play it. Good song and the line " bring it down cause im no victim" is awesome.

I posted something dumb in Ruddo's thread about PJ's record but it made me wonder. Was this record, or perhaps S/T, PJ's attempt to be relevant again? It succeeded politically in it's overall dark tone but is musical relevancy something PJ aspire to at all?
I hope it isn't, I'd rather they just did what they're good at, but it made me wonder.

I wish I could feel it like you. Maybe I need to make a list of "good" Pearl Jam songs, but Ghost and Cropduster are well below what I think of when i think "good" Pearl Jam. I put Force of Nature in the category with those two songs and I would be happy to not hear FoN ever again.

i always thought the cover and the name were false advertising. I was really expecting something more... metal.

I think this is really a winter album. It's kind of fallen out of favour with me once again now where as a couple of months ago, it was #2 on my list.

It absolutely is a winter album. I'll always associate it with the season (probably because it came out in late fall 2002).

For years I thought Ghost was their worst song and actively hated it but then I listened to it again not so long ago and it's not so bad.

Gonna listen to Riot Act this morning. It's a typical dreary, gray day here. Should fit well.

"Help Help" came up on random yesterday, and man, this song is just great. From the 2:15 mark to the end of the song is just bliss.

"I never knew soap made you taller" is probably one of my least favorite lyrics ever.
"Love Boat Captain take the reigns and steer us toward the clear" is 2nd.
"the North is to South like the clock is to time" is a close 3rd.
