Not all of them. Just the tall aggressive ones.
the hispanic ones frighten me

I have a personal anecdote to share, but it's a debate thread. A more substantial subforum would be a better place to talk about my first interactions with hispanic lesbians.
well we dont have a ladies boxing thread so you may as well put it in the disc golf thread

I'll wait for the right timing so I don't get bottom-paged.

Harmless, I know you aren't a stats guy. So I'll let it go. I do appreciate your angle, so I hope nothing I ever post would deprive you of feeling appreciated. You're alright folk. :)

I'm amazed at the times we live in because there have been a lot of changes. I could stand to see a complete overhaul of the way domestic dispute calls are handled though. That's not a slam on the police, either. That's more like a nod in their direction to admit that we aren't equipping our police force to handle these situations in a way that they don't get called back out to a dead inter-personals.

I've read stats; I am a writer and I research these things and read about these issues on a daily basis. It's nothing to do with not reading stats, it's just that after having done my own research I've concluded that the imbalance is there. There are no stats about minority violence that would make me change my mind about what I see as the overall problem. Similarly, my only response to able-bodied people who tell me that disabled rights problems would be fixed if we just got along, because 'equality' is just in everyone's minds and we can assume it and tap into it whenever we like, is fuck off. Quite frankly.

But I appreciate that you respect my right to think as I do, and I feel likewise. (Even if I find it seriously problematic.)

And, again, I never said that women don't perpetrate violence. We just disagree on where emphasis should be placed. What annoyed me about the way you started speaking is the implication that the task of feminism is done. Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt. Now we can move on and worry about the men. I find that kind of ridiculous and dangerous. I appreciate it's probably not what you meant. But it did put my back up.

I'm an able-bodied straight white male and I don't assume disabled-rights efforts are suspect, anti-racism efforts are suspect, and I campaigned for marriage equality here in Maryland. Where do I fall in your world view?

Feminism for me is inclusive. Not separative. I'm not sure it's the same form of equality that feminism on the greater scale has in mind, but it works fine for me. I guess I edge closer to masculism when I feel like feminism has tipped it's own set of scales. There's an apparatus I see in my mind when I perceive things between the sexes.

I can paint.exe an illustration for you. Give me a day or two to put one together. I don't have the word that could represent what I see in my mind.

You don't need to fall into my world view at all :)

You need to take a good look at intersectionality, and how it takes into account all forms of varying oppressions, before you discount feminism. Because any kind of single-issue politic is a problem. Seriously. Look at intersectionality; the original intersectional thinkers were women of colour, some of them also disabled and / or LGBT.

I'll do that. Single issue politics and extremity in anything is where I get uncomfortable. In the microcosm of RM, we have our own little set of inter-personal issues. So the extremes are amplified.

Good day harmless! I'm behind in my work now because of all of this but it was worth it! :heartbeat:

But read the intersectional writers themselves. Most 'mainstream' feminism is critical, with some pretty bad arguments against it (involving racism, ableism, transphobia etc.). But you don't like mainstream feminism anyway so you should be OK with that...

I'm not a big fan of this thread title. My brain wants it to say 'Masculinism' or 'Masculinity' or even just 'Masculin'
