I'll take this advice. Any tips on air vs. foam sleeping pads?
Uh, I have always used a little inflatable one, but that was because I was working out of a backpack. Mine is fragile so I end up replacing it every few years. I dunno. If you are camping out of a car get something more robust which is probably going to be blow up, but if you want to backpack I can't really tell you how foam stacks up. It seems bulky.

This is not camping/backpacking, just hiking. Spent the day in the Southern Adirondacks. I had mapped out a route that I thought was 10.5 miles. It ended up being 14! whoops. I realized 3.5 miles in that I had miscalculated, so it was no big deal. Probably I'm just going to limp for the rest of the long weekend. It was a nice hike. Pretty easy most of the time, then some steep climbing the last 1.5 miles, and a good amount of scrambling towards the summit.

Nice work bro. That's like 22 clicks. Solid hike no doubt. The view looks pretty great.

Do you guys use AllTrails? An insanely awesome app.
It has a feature I'd like to see in Strava. Being able to load a trail before you record a run is awesome. It's nice to look down and see that your off course. I'd ditch my Garmin and just run with my cell if that feature were in Strava. Unfortunately, AllTrails lacks all the social features of Strava.

We are, but I use the app occasionally for running, hence the word "run."
WTF is your problem with me?

haha what? I guess I misread your post! I was just ribbing you for what I thought was using a phone while hiking, all in good fun. Or so I thought! Sorry dude.

It's OK, I was just adhering to the new "let's all be super sensitive" vibe of RM.
