I'd love it if they went the QotSA route and invited Trent to some of the sessions.zeb wrote:Chris has some "ideas" and the band recently recorded a song (with Jack Endino as producer!) they demoed in the eighties but nothing other than that has been spoken about. I'd be surprised, though, if they didn't come up with the some sketches during the tour with NIN.

Chris Cornell: "Head Down" was a complete demo Ben had played for me, where he's singing on it and it's very similar to what ended up on the record. That was an amazing moment because it was one of those times when I felt like, "This must be what it was like to be in the Beatles," where one of the band members just walks in and drops a song like that — it's already done and you don't have to do anything, and you already know it's going to be one of the best songs on the album.
so is this demo included in the deluxe edition?zeb wrote:Jefrey with One F wrote:Get Yourself Control: The Oral History of Soundgarden's 'Superunknown' (Spin Magazine)Chris Cornell: "Head Down" was a complete demo Ben had played for me, where he's singing on it and it's very similar to what ended up on the record. Yeah I thought that was a bit weird too. Cornell's voice on Fallon sounded pretty tired. Not sure if he can't hit the notes cause he's older or if he just wasn't trying.zeb wrote:They've mentioned the Head Down demo before. Kinda irritated that it didn't make its way onto this release.
