Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

But for real the Zep did often suffer from live excitement tempo increase syndrome.

Sure. Are people really surprised that bands often increase their tempos in comparison the the recorded versions when playing live though?

Calm your tits, bro. Its a natural phenomena. Few bands are spared.

I'd be disappointed if they didn't.

I don't subscribe to that at all. In Zep's case it doesn't really matter but if a band who utilized slower tempos decided to goof the groove I'd be disappointed. Imagine Faith No More's "Stripsearch" sped up a notch. It would be ruined.

I'd only have to be stuck in a room with Faith No More playing and everything would be ruined.

Anyway, derailment over.

I can't decide between "In The Light" or "Kashmir" as my favourite Zep track. Make your pitches.

in the light, hands down.

it's a much better tune musically than kashmir to me. it's more... hmmm, interesting to hear I guess.

kashmir is fine, but really in the light just kills me for like the first few minutes of the song. that wins it for me right there. plus once the song kicks in- it's a better beat. whatever it's best described as, I'm not a musician, it's just better

There is something relentlessly triumphant about "Kashmir", though. When I hear it I can't help but picture a legion of Mahouts storming a city. Or something...

They really need to release a live album heavy with 1975 and after material.

Would've killed for them to have done Physical Graffiti in its entirety live.

I woud be over the moon happy if they released a full Earls Court 1975 audio/video and 1977 LA audio hybrid. There are good boots of this available but cleaned up from source would be amazing.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

The only one I have around that period is a 06-07-1977 show in NY. I like it a lot cause there is no Dazed And Confused and Whole Lotta Love is only like 1:50 and is more of a intro to Rock n Roll. I have enough 20 minute versions of those two songs. Quality is pretty good.

The band I am going to see tonight, TR3, often plays Kashmir and the song just fills the room like few others; granted it's not LZ but the energy of the room still tends to get pretty damn high.
