I saw Rangi Guy at a Pearl Jam show once, and he lit a candle like three hours before they got on stage in the off-chance that they played Indifference at the end so that the candle could burn up his arm at the precise moment Ed sang that line. They didn't play it though, so he had to blow it out at the start of Rockin' In the Free World.
