I enjoyed the finale. I thought it was consistent with the tone of the show and the overall morality play.

Excellent show. I agree that Molly should have played a bigger role in the finale (maybe overall). But on the balance, great show. I had no other issues with the finale.

I loved the season, I just felt slightly underwhelmed by the finale.

I think the whole concept of critiquing these types of shows on an episode-by-episode basis is sort of antiquated.

Agreed. But that's different than critiquing an entire series on an episode by episode basis. Which is what M_D was talking about. Or that's how I took it anyway.

'Fargo' season 2 scoop: Next season set in 1979, more

You know how in FX’s Fargo there were all those cryptic references to Lou Solverson’s (Keith Carradine) traumatic case in Sioux Falls back in 1979?
That case is the focus of Fargo season 2.

Writer-producer Noah Hawley spoke to reporters at the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Beverly Hills on Monday, hours after FX officially confirmed that the Emmy-lauded show will get a 10-episode second season.

The premiere was fantastic.

It was quite good. Surprised to see so many familiar actors in it. I think I'm going to love "Todd" in yet another show.

Yeah, this was outstanding. Ted Danson gets it. Just like Martin Freeman last season, Ted Danson belongs in this world. He needs more screen time.

Second episode is fantastic. Better than the first. It's premature, but I'm already enjoying this season more than the first. I thought all recognizable actors would be a distraction. But, they're really nailing their characters so far. Great job with the filming too. Really has the look and feel of a late 70s flick.

I don't know that it's better than the first episode, but I agree that this season is superb so far. Didn't think the could improve on the 1st season, but they are tracking to do just that. I think I"m going to back and watch both back to back some time before next Monday.

I love the 70's setting and the general premise of the character conflicts so far...

What a series. I think it's safe to say with 2 episodes already down that season 2 is gonna be a monster. Great writing. Interesting characters and spot on casting. Other shows should take note.

I know it's early but I wonder if a season 3 is possible?

I need to let go of the 'Fargo-ness' of the thing. The second episode really showed that this is going to be its own thing. I didn't like it as much as the first episode because it was missing that dark, undercutting humor that made the movie so brilliant.

The first season did a great job with that. I think they're trying to shift the tone a bit here. The first episode was a great bridge. But I need to let this be what it is and I'll enjoy it more, I think.

Still, really solid episode. I could watch Ted Danson do this all day long.

Woodbine is great, too. He NAILED that Coen-ness in his scene with Ted outside the car. That had my heart pumping.

My wife fell asleep halfway through this week's episode.

So, 1.5 episodes in and they are killing it. I wish more people were watching/talking about this.
