first round of reviews are in. Apparently the effects and visuals are amazing, and the cast turns in strong performances in what is a somewhat lackluster narrative.

Question for those of you that are going to see this in the theaters: are you buying into the marketing of this that says it is "one of the rare movies worth seeing in 3D"?

I am, too. Everyone I've talked that has seen it in 2D have said they wish they'd seen it in 3D.
Ticket for 3D for Friday matinee purchased!!

I was planning to wait for this to come out on blu ray, but judging by the stronger-than-expected reviews I may have to go see this puppy in the theater
