Who is OM? Kinda irrelevant as Sabbath are the ones to see in any schedule clash, but I'll play ball.

Oh, by the way, pick Sabbath.

I guess you could call them Tibetan-inspired stoner. Guy from Grails + guy from Sleep.

Is there any reason to believe that a Black Sabbath reunion wouldn't suck?

Because Ozzy pretends to be a retard for viewers. They're still on point.

i'd probably enjoy the OM show more because i can't stand arena shows (and arena ticket prices) but having never seen Sabbath before i'd probably have to go that route. tough choice though.

Ths would be a really easy decision had I not already forked out $139 for a Sabbath ticket.

wow. $139 might sway my decision some. OM is probably $15. that leaves $125 for a shirt, an lp and a fuckload of beers.

Beers!

Wait, still see Sabbath.

For real. Fuck those prices. Even for Sabbath.

OM's $39.

I have no doubt which will be the better show.

I'm sure I'll be able to sell my Sabbath ticket, so hey.

That's steep. Or is it a regular price in Australia?

That's very affordable for a touring international band.

Australian prices are bananas.

The last couple shows I went to were respectively under $15 and under $20, and the band was much bigger than Om. International tour as well. Bananas indeed.

Shellac and Earth were around that when they were here a few months back. The Neil Young show I saw last week was $155, My Bloody Valentine the week before was $90 or thereabouts.

That said, it's not just concerts. Prices for all kinds of things are inflated here compared to elsewhere in the world.

My brother and a good freind have been pushing me to check out Ghost (now ghost bc i guess)

I finally took the plunge and got their album today. We'll see. I'm skeptical but they both have good taste in music :?

they're like a cross between the Sword and Priestess (who you should also listen to)

i liked both of these but i really liked the groove and guitar on the priestess, but i did not love his singing. i still may have to check them out if they shred like that on a lot of their songs
thanks

Oh, and in case anyone's wondering, I think I'll probably end up going to Sabbath. I already have a ticket and I'm going with some good friends, I'm sure it'll end up being a fun show. If OM play late, I might even try to catch some of their set after. Failing that, there's a higher chance that they'll come back at some point. Still, total bummer that they're on the same night. Wait forever for a bus, etc.

i just don't get the appeal of Ghost. people seem to love them but i can't fucking stand their music. i thought i'd change my mind after seeing them open for Mastodon and Opeth last year but they're schtick is even goofier live.
