Sorry if this has been posted before – it probably has. Been thinking this one over recently. Yield is my least favorite album from the 93-03 run (I enjoy all of the albums made during this time; Yield is just my least favorite of them.) Thought I’d rank the songs. Interested to hear your ranking, too, so post ‘em if you got ‘em. I didn’t include Red Dot or Hummus.
All Those Yesterdays
No Way
MFC
Push Me, Pull Me
Brain of J
Low Light
Faithfull
In Hiding
Do the Evolution
Given to Fly
Pilate
Wishlist
Looking at this list of songs makes me like Yield even less. My (current) interest level in these songs drops pretty steeply after the first three.

I smelt ranking from miles away! It won't be long before somebody comes and argues that to leave out Red Dot/Hummus is a travesty.

Yield's hopped up to my second favourite PJ album recently.

What's #1? (LB or Backspacer, obvs.)

Those first three are about as good as Pearl Jam gets for me.

Amended. I must have been wishing that song never existed! (See what I did there?)

Clowns hatin on Faithfull..
It's a slab of PJ doing what they do best. Intriguing melody, huge big Stone riff into the solo..chorus, played perfectly.
Vastly underrated song.

If someone said it was the best Pearl Jam song, I couldn't find it in myself to argue otherwise.

And it's played perfectly, consistently in the live setting

I can't get on board with this. I hate that MC doesn't hit the cymbals during the "it echoes" part. It drives me crazy and almost ruins it for me. I heard a '98 version today on PJ Radio from Australia, with Jack, and it was just leaps and bounds better.
Having said that, it's always been one of my favorites on Yield, and up there with my favorite PJ tunes.
