If we're talking about older bands let me throw The Who, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Neil Young on my list as well. 4 artists I just don't give the slightest shit about, even though they've all had a huge influence on the stuff I do really care about.
And I can probably put Soundgarden on this list too. They have a lot of songs I love, but they've probably produced as much if not more music I'm indifferent to. R.E.M. is to DcT as Soundarden is to Stip

I feel like I should like The June Brides more than I do, considering how much I love some of their stuff (especially Sunday to Saturday).
I also feel like I should like Cheap Trick way more than I do.

Pretty much any of the "grunge" bands that aren't Nirvana or Pearl Jam.
And REM. As it is, I just got their best of 'cuz I couldn't slog through all the non-hits.

Also, Springsteen. I like some of the early asbury park stuff, but I really don't like most of his output.
