Because Binaural is arguably some of PJ at their best mixed badly with some of their less memorable songs. A mix that as a whole works less than say Vitalogy and No Code do.
I agree with this. Binaural was a potentiallu great album diminished by a terrible track selection. Including Sad and Fatal at least and excluding some of the weaker tracks and it couldve been great. Parts of it are great. Yield is very good, but not great in my opinion. No Code to me is the last album that was greater than the sum of its parts. Since then each album is just a group of songs, some better than others.

I don't know what these weak tracks are on Binaural that people keep referring to.

I thought that one had a good rhythm to it.

It's also dark and moody.

It sounds too much like an Ed solo track.

You must be talking about Pendulum.

I actually never forgave PJ for including it on the album.

Ed always needed to check his privilege. Well, not always; arguably it all began with this song.

Soon Forget? Evacuation? Light Years?

Bump them for In The Moonlight, Education, Sad, and Puzzle & Games, and Binaural just may be the best PJ album.

Light years? :gomez:

If you wanna do anything keep everything, add In the moonlight, sad, fatal and education. Double album of awesome. Screw puzzle and games. Fiiine, I'll give you evacuation as a bside.

I think I'm the only person who likes soon forget.

Talking about alternate universes, you know what would have been sexy? a circa 96 ep featuring I got Shit, long road, parting ways, of the girl and dead man. Binaural would have been poorer for it though.

Binaural is perfect as is. I listened to it last night so I know I am correct on this.

Add Thin Air to the weak tracks.

It's not so much that the tracks in question are bad but that the "compilation approach" that PJ likes a lot doesn't work for Binaural. 2 distinctive production approaches don't help either. It should have been a double album or 2 different albums. I'm not a huge fan of NAIS but i think that those who are would have really liked an album in that vein, with Strangest Tribe on it preferably.

Yes, when you take the worst songs off an album and replace them with much better ones it improves the album.

:hooray:

I like evacuation fine too, but I was trying to think of a track to toss and i think I'd probably miss it the least.
