I'm glad you liked BvS, Bada.

Even admitting all the problems I think the movie has, I am totally mystified by the critical pile-on. I think it's considerably better than a good number of Marvel movies.

Thanks Platy! As I was watching I kept waiting for things to get messy or incoherent since that seemed to be the sentiment but about half way through I started to realize it wasn't going to happen. I think one spoiler

that Batman's no killing policy wasn't being enforced

sort of headed of a potential major problem I would have had with the movie. I was able to prepare myself that this was a different version and to just go with it. I couldn't really find anything to be confused about though I will admit I thought it was

Orion warning Batman in his dream/vision but everyone is saying it was the Flash

. There was certainly nothing as incomprehensible as Thor's stuff in the last Avenger's movie. It didn't feel overloaded or too much universe building to me at all. I really think this is the best I've ever seen these characters portrayed on screen except maybe Superman but I even liked him. Batfleck was just the best.

a lot of the critic/fan reviews hate the interpretations of the characters, but i have no investment in a particular interpretation - which bodes well for when i see it

I've seen a few critics change their minds on subsequent viewings. Whether that is payola or legitimate I can't say.

I'd still be surprised if you liked it Stip. You seem to be able to overlook the fantastic with Marvel but not DC which is fine but I don't see this working for you. If a cosmic cube is legitimate but Flash moving between dimensions\time is dumb then you're probably out of luck.

I do generally really like batman - and I am more forgiving of weirdly powered McGuffin items than hero powers.

Its a really good Batman hope you like it.

that was pretty weak, B. 15 minutes of 'I don't like super hero movies because I don't think they're good movies' is not particularly insightful.

I thought the specific complaints about specific movies hit pretty close to home.

Not my top 10 Superhero movies.... but I don't know where else to put this and I'm tired of doing fruitless searches.
