I'm still holding out hope it goes back to Marvel. They don't really need to do an origin. Just have a ten minute opening where the FF are The superheroes of the 1960s. They do all sorts of fun crazy stuff...little montage with fun Easter eggs ...they discover an alt dimension...they enter and to them they are only there for a few minutes but when they return they are in current Marvel movie time. So you can have a little Austin Powers fish out of water groovy 60s vibe with a larger backstory where they are already an established family and shove them right into the current Marvel movie continuity action.

I was rooting for it to happen only because I think the property belongs to Marvel. In no way was I looking forward to not seeing another FF film.
