This showed up in my google news feed. This guy really has gone from being one of my favorite vocalists to being a guy who can make "take me out to the ballgame "actually seem 10 times more annoying then it normally is.

When you use the same emotional affectations for a bullshit baseball song that you do for your own music, it's sort of like breaking the fourth wall.

I admit, I'm pretty looking forward to going to this night after tomorrow.

My money is on Betterman and/or Elderly Woman. We may get a couple Ed solo songs too.

I'm an admitted fanboy but have seen Ed give enough 'meh' performances to know when he's phoning it in. I can't compare singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame to singing in tomorrow's setting. I'll be shocked if he disappoints.

Ed was at the cubs games, they showed it during the mets game. Man, 50 has not been kind to him the first few months. He looked like all the shows and tours have really caught up to him physically.

I guess the guy who is the 3rd man on the cubs radio team is a huge pearl jam fan. He was on the sports am station this morning talking to the morning show about how giddy he was to talk to ed and that he was really hoping to impress him. I was really embarassed for the guy.

I hope that dude lurks here or something and has gained some self awareness.
