What a letdown
This weeks episode didn't even have Olivia Wilde naked.
What a rip off

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. Watched the pilot. Too long, for sure. And I wasn't feeling the ending. But I do want to watch more. I'll throw on the next episode here in a bit. I certainly haven't seen anything in this show that makes me think it's terrible.
Are the rest of the episodes directed by Marty? Because that might be the thing that gets me to stop watching.

The second episode was better than the first. And I'll be honest, I missed a few of Marty's flourishes. There were some outstanding character moments that I'm glad he was out of the way for but then there were some really flat scenes that could have used his dynamic.

This show is so absolutely awful. On nearly every level.

Well now Skitch, let's take stock. Olivia Wilde is fantastic in the show. I love John Cameron Mitchell as Andy Warhol. I love the musical cutaways, the performances that are out of time and abstract. Doogie Howser's friend is funny, especially when he's high.
So, yeah, there are some things that are good, a couple levels that work. I'll keep watching.

Yeah his stuff is great.
He was my favorite part of the pilot. Is his story being treated as a focus, or a side-plot?
side plot tied to the main story
