So let's see:

Good:
Easy to get to venue
Weekend show
Lots of accomedations in the area
GA reserved for 10c
multi-tiered pricings
announced 6 months in advance

Bad:
Lotto

We are getting close to ideal here team.

Fair enough, but at least they specifcally said more US dates in fall... unlike previous outta nowhere shows (Chicago 2009)

I really wish we had an idea as to how big this GA pit section is and how many reserved field seats the 10C has -- once you get out beyond a certain point, I would rather sit in the upper deck box seats (they're WAY better than 70% of the field and lower bowl seats).

Cubs season tickets holders also get a pre-sale for this show, so I'm guessing I'll be able to get better tickets through that (and I'll know where I'm sitting, and can buy 4 seats together).

So after talking in the bitching thread about not being in Ten Club for several years now, I said fuck it and rejoined yesterday. I put in a lottery bid for GA tickets for the hell of it. Maybe I'll get luck or something.

I can't wait until they announce a Thursday night show at somewhere like the Metro at the last second and everyone freaks out because they already made travel plans.

Yes, good point as well. It just sucks when you try to put all your eggs in one basket then it doesn't work out and you see 0 shows.

Good luck. After 16 years in the 10c, I have yet to win a ticket lottery.

Spoiler: show
This is why the lotto makes it harder to get tickets.

Dont think I care to put aside $500 some bucks for the potential of getting tickets.
I have a feeling it's going to be like 1995 and Soldier Field again in terms of getting tickets.

anyone know if they will announce who has gotten fan club tickets before the general sale? thats my only real worry about this new ticket process, if they wait to tell you after the general sale and you strike out all together

Total clusterfuck. I think I was able to get tickets in like 5 mins since I knew the number to an obscure Ticketmaster in Iowa though. Ahhh the good ole days.
