Re: Radiohead | New Album News [June?]
http://www.stereogum.com/1874410/radioh ... fans/news/So what does it mean? Well, “Burn The Witch” is the name of an unreleased Radiohead song dating back to at least 2003, and it supposedly contains the lyrics “Sing a song of sixpence that goes/ Burn the witch.” And as some enterprising Redditors have discovered, according to Germanic folklore, Walpurgisnacht — or “Witches’ Night” — falls on either 4/30 (today) or 5/1 (tomorrow), depending on the year. Radiohead recently started two companies, Dawn Chorus LLP and Dawnchoruss LTD, and International Dawn Chorus Day is held on the first Sunday in May, which also happens to be tomorrow, 5/1.

Now it's gone and all their social media presence is kind of disappearing, too.

Well, with bands like Radiohead, not so much. I mean, i think it would be way cooler to have the actual album than this thing of " we are retiring from social media"zeb wrote:Where's your sense of adventure, VinylGuy?
Thom Yorke is such a snob.

Re: Radiohead | New Album News [June?]
I don't think it's fair to read that as the band "retiring" from social media, though. They've said nothing to that effect and they're clearly using their social media accounts to generate excitement for the announcement.
I think the white profile and wiped posts simply fit in with the "dawn chorus" aesthetic they're cultivating, whether that's the name of the album or whatever. Dawn, a fresh start, a new day, new beginnings, etc.

They're clearly not retiring from social media. Jonny Greenwood's twitter is alive and well.
