then compare that to what they chose to do, which is give it new life and fuck yeah it's about time we see a film in this genre lead by females instead of males,(and that's probably why it won't set the box-office on fire)
which would you choose?
So my choice is between a hypothetically bad movie starring the old cast or a safe and needless remake with the old cast replaced with women (because fuck yeah?)? Why are these my only choices? Why would I pick one? How about a good movie with the old cast? What about a movie with female characters who aren't forced into pale imitations of male ones? They are just being set up to fail. How are women benefited by this? How is a lockstep remake "giving it new life" and not soulless pandering?
You've sure gleaned an amazing amount from a two minute trailer. Do you even bother seeing movies, having this amazing ability at your disposal?
That's probably the worst post you've ever made. Frankly, I'm ashamed of you.
Excellent, sounds like I've calibrated to this conversation perfectly.
Even though the link is broken, I still think that was a good post.

I for one find the decision to issue a trailer devoid of any jokes bold.

I'd like to think there were a lot of "wait and see" people about this movie. The trailer doesn't seem to be very convincing.
Maybe it was my monitor, but did the effects look over saturated, color-wise? Would they still be working on those?

I can't remember the last time I was excited to see a comedy, period. I think I am just a humorless husk of a person.

Probably my favorite post of the year.

Y'know, I watched this again. If they'd skipped the scene with Melissa McCarthy getting possessed and Leslie Jones smacking her around, I'd actually be excited about this.

I watched it again. there are parts of the trailer I liked, but I was definitely expecting more. I haven't given up on it.
And it'll probably be better than Batman V Superman

This makes for a better teaser, but it's hard to unsee the bad from the actual trailer
