Ford was fine it was everything else that was the problem. I'm convinced Karen Allen was completely shit faced when she filmed her scenes. My only issue with continuing Indy movies with Ford isn't that he is too old its that his age pushes the movies into a time period that isn't as conducive for pulpy adventure stories.
two words: time travel

Perhaps it will mainly be a flash back. Has there been any talk of someone playing young Indy?

I mean, crystal skull had shia. That is reason enough for me never to watch it again. Ever.

Assuming this will be a make good effort for Spielberg after the last movie and will be all Ford. The next one will be Ford bookends with him remembering past adventures with some new kid/guy.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Yeah, Shia was fine. It was the story and the directing that ate nuts.
Actually, this was another movie the Red Letter Media guys skewered perfectly. I wish they were still doing those Plinkett videos now, in the age of Hobbit trilogies, Blade Runner 2, and Indy 5.

I must admit that I sometimes find Shia to be a compelling actor. His performance in Charlie Countryman was really interesting.

Such a horrible, horrible movie. I had one leg in the aisle ready to get up and walk out. I'm glad I really don't remember anything from this disaster other than the refrigerator catapulting.
I think Spielberg can redeem the franchise though.

The key will really be how involved Lucas is, I think.

And Bobby and Nyphomaniac and New York, I Love You. He's even more than competent in that terrible Wall Street sequel.
