I'm not sure what I was expecting with the finale, but it wasn't that. Can't wait to see what happens in the final year.

Did not catch last night's episode. Probably won't get to it until Tuesday. Must avoid spoilers...

Yeah, that very well could have been the series finale. Just awesome.

Right
Spoiler: show
I think that's why it was so disconcerting--I was sort of expecting another bombshell that we'd have to deal with for the next season, like the move to California. Bu this was a more subtle move. The series really could be over, which I think puts a different kind of pressure on the final season. Almost like anything can happen.

Completely agree. I don't remember ever seeing anything like this in a penultimate season. So excited for next year.

What a finale. Probably the best one since season 3.

It's going to be quite a treat to watch the whole series again after next season to see how the decade and characters changed. I love how the outside world is becoming so loud. Last season seemed foreboding and claustrophobic but they can't keep out the social/political/world noise anymore.
Hey, M_D, have you been following any of the theories and speculation floating around the interwebs? Specifically, those regarding Megan Draper?

tell me about it

I'd seen some stuff a few episodes back speculating that A) Megan would suffer a Sharon Tate like fate by the end of this season and B) that Megan was actually already dead.
