In general, I don't think there's ever been a time in PJ's career where the largest segment of their fanbase hasn't thought their newest stuff was their worst stuff. God bless 'em for soldiering on....

Honestly, i dont think this is the case. RM isn't a huge indicator of the Jamily.

Maybe not, but I've always gotten that impression, even -- sometimes especially -- outside of the internet message board sect.

They are posers.

Just look at how much they bitched and moaned about how great vinyl is for years and years, yet their vinyl releases are notorious for their poor quality, and when asked about it they are totally clueless.

Of course, that doesn't stop the fanbase from blowing wads of cash on them like crack.

they showed they were posers the second that Target commercial aired.

Yield was the exception. Great thought.

My experience has been that most people prefer LB to Backspacer

Personally:

LB is better than Backspacer, Backspacer is better than S/T, S/T is better than Riot Act, Riot Act is better than Binaural, Yield is better than No Code, Vitalogy is better than Vs.

There's rarely been a time when I thought their latest release was their worst. Happened with Vs because it followed Ten, No Code which followed Vitalogy and Binaural which followed Yield. Every other release was better than it's predecessor.

Then again, very few here would concur with my current album rankings: 1) Vitalogy, 2) Ten, 3) Vs, 4) Yield/LB, 6) Backspacer, 7) S/T, 8) No Code, 9) Riot Act, 10) Binaural.

For the best tour, it's a toss up between 92 and 94. Nothing can match early 90s Pearl Jam.

Go home RM, you're drunk.

I thought for a very long time that most here who actually prefer No Code, Binaural and Riot Act to the other albums were perpetually drunk. :haha:

On a side note, I don't drink. These rankings pretty much reflect my enjoyment of each album. The bottom three I simply don't enjoy as much as the others. The first three are on a different level altogether,

I refuse to give the issue any consideration.

I like "LB" so much less than "Backspacer." It's really the first PJ album I have just had zero personal engagement with.
