2016: Hail Hail (Hail Hail vs. Immortality)
2015 Do the Evolution (Do the Evolution vs. Last Exit)
2014 Insignificance (Insignificance vs. Corduory)
2012 Tremor Christ (Tremor Christ vs. Immortality)
2009 Black (Black vs. Given to Fly)
2008 Immortality (Final: Immortality vs. Rearviewmirror)
2007 Corduroy (Final: Corduroy vs. Porch)
2006 Black (Final: Black vs. Corduroy)
2005 I Got Shit (Final: I Got Shit vs. In My Tree)


So the 8 songs advancing to the final 32 will be

Hail Hail, Do the Evolution, Insignificance, Tremor Christ, Black, Immortality, Corduroy, and I Got Shit.

They will be joined by the top 2 songs from the 10 studio albums, and the top 4 non album tracks.

If you're including 2008's tournament, you should include 2010's tournament as well - so the 8 songs would be:

Hail, Hail, Do the Evolution, Insignificance, Tremor Christ, In My Tree, Black, Immortality and Corduroy

So, in my web travels, I happened to have cause to have a glance over the archives, and so I present the definitive March Madness historic results:

2004 - Immortality [Old, old board]
No records exist - this was just mentioned in the 2005 tourney. Immortality beat Black in the final. The 2005 tourney mentions that this was the "first" March Madness.

2005 - I Got Shit

2006 - Black
Voting took place on TSIS, rather than RM.

2007 - Corduroy
Voting took place on TSIS, rather than RM.

2008 - Immortality(2)*
This was a "Song tournament" rather than a March Madness

2009 - Black(2)

2010 - In My Tree*
Again, not a March Madness. Consisted of a 90's tournament (Corduroy won) and a 2000's tournament (Sad won). Top 16 results from each tournament competed in a final tournament, which In My Tree won.

2011 - NO COMPETITION

2012 - Tremor Christ

2013 - NO COMPETITION

2014 - Insignificance

2015 - Do the Evolution
