His rules are nonsense and it's best to ignore them

Yeah but then you disqualify movies if they were too popular. IT MAKES NO SENSE

But you've even expanded beyond that simple definition. When people post movies that fit EXACTLY you find ways to push them out. Don't get mad at us, friend. We're trying to play your game and you keep moving the goalposts.

Maybe the thread title should be: "Movies That Meant A Lot or Had Special Relevance to Argo Growing Up Even If They Weren't That Good"

I was born in April of 1980. I have no idea if that makes me a Millennial or not. But Fight Club sure as shit holds tremendous relevance to me. Seeing that movie when I was 19 felt like the sophisticated, grown-up version of OHMYGODKURTCOBAINJUSTUNDERSTANDSME

Does Fight Club count, Argo?

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Answer these three questions:

1. Did this movie widely resonate with millennials? If yes, continue.
2. Did older generations also appreciate this movie to the same degree? If no, continue.
3. Are future generations likely to grow up and appreciate this movie to a great degree? If no, this movie qualifies.

Ah. It does not. And neither does The Matrix. Thank you for your time, sir.
