For my money though the three best shows of the entire 2009 tour are the last three, Brisbane, Auckland and Christchurch. I pretty much don't ever pull out any shows from this tour other than those three and Ridgefield.
That Ridgefield show was way better than either Seattle show I was at a couple of nights earlier.
That Christchurch show (I think) features the worst crowd behavior ever. IIRC, the concert was impeded 3 times. That really annoys me.

Auckland and Christchurch both have really rowdy crowds. I can forgive the stops though since the band is mostly really tight (especially Auckland; Christchurch has some really mangled performances but also some amazing ones). I don't pull those bootlegs out very often, but I do more so than most other shows from this tour.

No one was praising those shows. He decided to reply to a post from over 3 years ago just to bash it again. Just admit that he's on a never ending quest to bash these shows.

Today's Sirius XM offering
Gotta be honest, I mostly don't enjoy shows after 2006, but...IDk. I havent listened to many Backspacer shows so it could be kinda fun to just post thoughts here and see how it is.
Sometimes to open. I like how Eddie plays this song usually and the brisker pace.

For the record just from what I've heard I feel like 2012 was the worst of all PJ shows, eddie was at a low point there to me.

Ooh boy. Breakerfall as the second song. One of my absolute least favorite PJ songs.
I think my bottom 3 is probably Breakerfall, I Am Mine, and Long Road.
I despise those songs

Gotta say Ive never heard breakerfall performed so well. Eddie...actually sounded good. His singing in general is sounding forced from earlier years and its a downgrade on most songs but when he needs to go all out with growls/screams....he does sound good. His strained vocals actually suit this song and I actually ended up taking notice for once.
check out 1:48 to the end as well as the first scream and verse. Im impressed.
Still hate the song but a good performance.

Why did they start doing Interstellar as an intro to Corduroy? I just don't understand it. Its so random to me. Is there some big thematic link? It doesn't even sound like it goes with it that well to me.
Anyways Sometimes -> Breakerfall -> (Interstellar) Corduroy
Pretty boring opening to me

Sometimes -> Breakerfall -> Corduroy -> Save You
IDK it seems like they're kinda just blasting right through. Im not feeling it that much.
Elderly Woman now sounds so good though I wonder if Eddie is playing guitar.
No I looked it up its stone
So um...why in the world cant he play it like this every time?

I swear that's literally the only time in like 50 shows Ive heard Stone play it with the slightest amount of rhythm

For comparison this is how it sounded on the 2003 show I listened to yesterday where Stone clunks along

Got Some now for the first Backspacer song.
I do like that the Backspacer songs aren't all over the place. I got tired in 2006 of all the S/T songs early on

Into Faithful. Interesting. Pretty decent setlist so far
Sometimes
Breakerfall
Corduroy
Save You
Elderly Woman
Got Some
Unthought Known
Faithful
A pretty decent mix so far of classics, rarer ones, and new songs.
I can just sense an Even Flow coming next. WE WILL SEE

They need some softer guitar tones. It bothers me all the time. There's always this distortion that kills the vibe and makes it sound sloppy IDK. Its especially bad whenever they play Ledbetter but Faithful is another one thats affected. This ones on mike

OH MY GOD THEY JUST WENT INTO EVEN FLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been officially listening to too many PJ shows when I can call Even Flow on the song before Even Flow

I request a motion to make a new song called Even Flow (live)
Because the live version of Even Flow is not Even Flow

For an Even Flow (live) I like the guitar sound. Nice and crunchy
Oh god Eddie please stop putting Mike McCready's name into the lyrics.
