For sure. I won't be surprised to see the price increase when that happens either. Could be more microtransactions too.

Price increase will probably happen at some point, it’s inevitable, but DLC usually costs extra even with Gamepass, you just get a discount. Not sure what you mean by micro transactions.

Paying real money for additional items/weapons/costumes in games.

I mean those are in multiplayer games regardless of GamePass or not.

Speaking of, if any of you do have Game Pass (I do and it's pretty great), Hitman Trilogy coming to Game Pass on Thursday. Sweet deal for me as I've yet to play any of the Hitman games...

I still say Sony's exclusives are more my cup of tea; IMO Xbox exclusives are not even in the same class (and it's not even close) compared to the likes to Sony first party games.

I agree about Sony first person games over the past 10+ years or so, though Microsoft is certainly positioning itself to make it a much closer competition in the future. Both Bethesda and Activision/Blizzard seem like companies in creative ruts, but that can certainly turn around with Starfield and smaller titles.

I wanna be upset about this mostly cause it feels like Microsoft building towards a monopoly probably isn't in gamers best interests, but mostly i'm just still kinda pissed i'm gonna have to buy a new system when ES6 eventually comes out. Xbox can keep the rest of those trash game franchises

Agreed that Sony does have the best exclusives, at least for my tastes.

Microsoft hasn’t bought out Nintendo yet.

That's sort of where I am too.

It comes down to preferences. The third person adventure stuff wasn’t my style on Playstation so I got bored of them. I grew up with Halo and the Forza games started taking over my life a few years back. Not much of a Gears fan though. It also mostly comes down to controller and UI though. I hate the PS Controller and need the offset sticks and the Playstation UI always felt slow to me.

Think Sony is rethinking the timing of the announcement of their Game Pass competitor?
