Definitely like they took a whole series of steps back.

The camera is always static where it moved around in clone wars and really added dimension to the shots and sequences. Apparently it's a budget thing. Clone wars was George throwing all kinds of his own money at clone wars.
Disney are not doing the same with Rebels.

I especially HATE the hair.
Wait, which program are you having issues with?

I just think Rebels looks low budget and immature and soft compared to the dynamic animation of The Clone Wars series. I still like Rebels. But after watching five or six episodes of TCW in a row, then immdiately watching Rebels, Rebels looks terrible and far less interesting.

I just like the story more in rebels. The problem with TCW for me is that there are all these awesome characters that could have been in eps 2 and 3, but weren't. But yeah the animation is better, and we do get a lot of Ahsoka backstory, so that's good.

The character development in Rebels I enjoy overall better though

I do not disagree with that at all. I love Rebels. And the animation style didn't bug me before I started to binge watch TCW. Watching them back to back, it really stood out how different they are. Doesn't mean I'm not loving Rebels, though.

And TWC has been a giant mess up until where I'm at now. It's starting to feel more focused. But, yeah, outside of Cad Bane, a lot of the more interesting "side" characters have been under-utilized.

Finished the first season yesterday. I don't really know who Ahsoka is, so that reveal didn't pack the punch it was intended to.

I didn't know who she was either when I started watching Rebels. The reveal was meaningless to me too. But it's everything that comes next with her that made me fall in love with the character and made me go back and watch The Clone Wars.

She's a fucking badass.

I hope we haven't built her up too much. Because I knew nothing about the character she really surprised me and her skill is undeniable. Some of the mystery surrounding her also helped pull me in. Hopefully, you'll have a similar experience.

Season 2 is really expanding the scope and consequences. Love the old clone troopers.

Each season has been better than the previous, I think. It's a show that started pretty strong but continues to get better.

You need to watch Clone Wars to understand how closely tied she is to Anakin/Vader and the main Star Wars storyline.

Actually sounds intriguing and a lot more interesting than even the awesome trailer for the second half made it appear.

that one with Chopper could be hilarious.

Also, no more Dark Saber episodes?

I have a theory.
They've long said Sabine is gonna be a super important character who really comes into her own and the focus will shift to her at last. Now we're seeing it.

To go full fanboi tilt, will we see her take on the mantle of mandalorian leader? And possibly face off against Ahsoka? Or the Rebels? The mandos are as much of an unknown quantity / wildcard as ahsoka and easily as popular as her in fandom if not more.

So I made it past the Asohka episodes before I watched clone wars, so I was not invested in her as a character

Can someone please sum up (in spoiler form) what she's done so far on Rebels.

I didn't see the episode numbers on this. Apparently we also haven't seen 16 and 17 yet, which air beginning February 25. Those titles are:

Episode 16: Legacy of Mandalore

Episode 17: Through Imperial Eyes
