- The rancor was great. That could have been some shitty fx, but it was well done. Even the crumbling buildings were great.
- Cad Bane's stuff was excellent. Loved the last showdown. I hope he's alive, b/c Star Wars needs to stop killing off great villians.
- Grogu snuggling with the rancor? I mean c'mon! Yay!
The Bad
- Why do the Vespas look so bad? They even had great speeder effects with the one that Fennec was riding.
- How is any of this a war? They were counting on Freetown? Their whole town was about 10 people. What kind of pussies are the Pikes? They lost a whole planet to an army of less than 20 people.
I, overall, enjoyed the series and the finale. Dime's being dramatic. I'm ready for Mandalorian, Season 4.
I think the vespas look bad because they’re colorful and shiny. No vehicles in the OT looked like that and the existing ones in Mos Espa are all the same drab, weather-beaten tones we saw in the OT.
They definitely made some improvements in the finale relative to earlier in the season. More dust and movement underneath and they had some bounce and wiggle.

Isn’t Cad Bane sort of ridiculous? They must have Clint Eastwood movies in the galaxy far, far away.

Yes. And he's played by the real life musician, Thundercat.
The implication, TVG, is that Cobb is not only going to live but that he'll come out modified like Fennec.

Ewoks
There were hundreds of Ewoks.
And an endless supply of Stormtroopers

If you'd watched the episode where they introduced him, he would have been much less distracting.

Distracting because the guy doesnt look like he is from that universe and because of the bad acting

Again, less distracting if you'd seen the other episodes with those characters.
Didn't Thundercat literally just turn around and face the bacta tank? How can you say he's a bad actor with only three seconds of standing there footage?
He's obviously not an actor (yet). I'm not going to tell you he's some amazing revelation in his other appearance but seems weird to say he's a distractingly bad actor if all you've seen is the Boba stinger.
But I guess he made an impression on you so fair enough.

Yeah it makes sense he sucked hard at only watching a fucking tank. Not surprised now because of course , he is not an actor
Remember that idea of the extras just trying to do a lot more than the scene needs? Because they need that recognition?
It seemed like that...I was like man that guys is awfully miscast and sucked hard

I feel you. I've certainly seen my share of those kinds of performances, things that just immediately did not at all work for me in a matter of seconds. I can relate. I'm just a little defensive because I love his music.
But that's not what we're here to talk about. You're right, he's not a great actor.

Watching the discourse unfold has been really entertaining. I'm not referring to just this thread, I mean the overall internet/podcast discourse. It's fascinating to see in real time. The tug-of-war in some fans ("Favreau saved Star Wars! Favreau and Filoni for live!" in one breath and "Book of Boba is the worst Star Wars ever! Who writes this bullshit!" in the next) is something else.
Again, not pointing fingers here. Just the larger discourse I'm seeing.
