Save one weekend for me to host a party there for all my friends
This is ok because it won’t be a very well attended party
Great job explaining the joke. Proud of u.

Good luck Doug, hoping you make a hefty profit and not too much annoyance.
It’s crazy how much more paperwork you have to go through for a rental compared to a home purchase.

My oldest stepson just had to find an apartment in midtown Manhattan. He got a sub lease, but the steps were insane. Including the steps below, there were probably 500 emails to get it all sorted:
Hire a broker, ended up with $6,000 in broker fees
Once application accepted, more financial paperwork than applying for and getting a mortgage
Both parents had to cosign, even though his annual salary is more than theirs combined. He showed proof of that but since he's just starting out...
References for him, for cosigners, and for work.
Approval from the apt. building board.
Upon moving time, insurance paperwork from movers (we moved it all in ourselves)
Approved moving date, only on weekdays, only one move in the entire building allowed per day
$1000 deposit in case we damaged anything in the building while moving.
I've never seen anything like it. He had taken this one in a rush because he had to start work, and though after a year he might find something better. So far he likes it and that process turned him off of ever wanting to do it again.

I just had a Re/Max ad scroll across my FB feed and it was highlighting agents who have the Re/Max hot air balloon logo tattooed on themselves.
Wow.
