Telex From Cuba by Rachel Kushner

I read her second book, The Flamethrowers earlier this year and it blew me away. So I'm pretty pumped to finally check out her debut. Solid so far (only about 40% through).

I just bought this book on your recommendation. It had better be good.

finished 2014 with Kurt Vonnegut: The Last Interview, which has nothing I haven't seen before but is still great bc Vonnegut is a hero. and Jupiter's Travels, in which an Englishman drives around the world for four years on a motorcycle.
opening 2015 with the new (800 pg.) bio of Nelson Rockefeller (I went to a reading by the author a couple months ago) and Brief Interviews with Hideous Men.

It's really really good. I can't put it down. What she's been through is astonishing.

And:

Edwin Mullhouse by Steven Millhauser

I'll probably do one of those after I finish Telex From Cuba.

Lamentation by CJ Sansom...wasn't aware this was part of an ongoing series, but it doesnt seem to have a bearing. Really enjoyable crime/mystery set in Henry VIII's court.

I just started The Tunnel by William Gass and I can already tell it's going to ruin my life. His writing style is crazy.
