Perhaps that isn't saying too much since Skyward Sword, Phandom Hourglass, Spirit Train, and Twilight Princess were all great, but still missing a little something. Wind Waker was my previous favorite since OOT/Majora's but this one is right on par. Just fucking excellent.

I'm in gaming heaven right now. Zero Escape, Zelda, Fire Emblem Awakening, Monster Hunter, and Scribblenauts Unmasked (along with a few downloadable Eshop games. What a fucking great week.

Also the new Zelda 3dsXL is just beautiful. I feel lucky to have gotten one.
I'm gonna have to pick this up. I was going to ask the girlfriend to get it for me for Christmas, but I don't think I can wait until then. Everything I've seen and heard about it makes me giddy to play it.

Been playing Wind Waker HD, and it is great.

The new Mario is also amazing, easily the best Mario game since Galaxy 2

I'm playing through Bioshock Infinite again, this time on 1999 mode. I'm enjoying the game ever more on the second playthrough. Lots of fun to mix different, gear, vigors, and weapons.

How hard is that mode. I'm considering trying it but I don't want to throw a controller through my TV.

Not really that hard to be honest. If anything it makes you experiment more with the different loadouts. There is one piece of gear that makes you invincible for 10 seconds each time you jump on or off a sky hook/skyline. It breaks the game in a good way in open areas.

I got The Last of Us and GTA V on Black Friday. I've barely played any GTA as The Last of Us is just too good. Its kinda freaky to play in the dark. The powerlessness you feel once the clickers grab hold of you is pretty intense.

Dead Rising 3 is non-stop fun. So many ridiculous combo weapons and vehicles.

Beat 1999 Mode last night. The final battle was not too hard when you know what you're doing.

I held myself to about 90 minutes today! Got frozen in the side of a mountain 5 minutes after I left the caverns.

What race and play style do you guys use? I'm a wood elf and I'm planning on using range attacks, stealth, and maybe some ranged magic. Working on lock picking early, too. Any other skills or perks you all can suggest?

I've played as a wood elf for most elder scrolls games, but I really liked being an argonian and I almost always use stealth, archery and light armor.

I'm afraid of using light armor at first, because even in my first fight with three wolves they got a few bites in. Do you use any melee weapons? Daggers or one-handed swords or anything like that?

Oh, and just to nip this in the bud:

I know it isn't the first person shooter game that most people around here play, but we are getting Super Mario 3D World tonight. My wife is out of town for the weekend so the stepson and I are going out to a Japanese steakhouse and then probably pulling an all nighter playing the game. It looks like a great Mario game and is getting good reviews.

I wish I could join you. I freakin' love the Mario Galaxies and that one looks like a natural progression.

One-handed swords always. Here's a tip: kill a lot of animals and turn the pelts into leather. Make a ton of leather bracers, sell them and buy up all leather and leather strips around town and repeat the process ever so often. You'll max out smithing in no time.

At first I tried a ranger/archer type dude, but it was taking forever. Then I made a fighter guy with a two handed weapon skill and heavy armor and just breezed through the game. you can just run through the dungeons without worrying about anyone.

I felt so nerdy typing that.
