I'm sure playing for rock music's second most egotistical douchebag with a chrome dome has its payday too, A Perfect Circle probably outsold 2010's Smashing Pumpkins concerts in their 2010's tours.

Emptiness is loneliness, and loneliness is cleanliness, and cleanliness is godliness, and God is empty, just like thousands of seats for the upcoming Smashing Pumpkins reunion tour.
I feel bad for James and Jimmy if this tour is an embarrassing flop but it’s hard not to feel as though Billy kind of deserves it.

sort of...there were quite a few dates on that first SG reunion tour that ended up on Groupon for dirt cheap
but at least SG had been gone for a long time...the Pumpkins have toured off and on for the last decade plus in one incarnation or another...half the time with Chamberlain on drums...so how much does Iha really move the needle?

They added shows in LA and Chicago, both seemingly sold out...but when i go to the ticketmaster page, they both have lots of seats available...weird.

Maybe if they start playing We Only Come Out at Night with kazoos again this thing will gain some traction.

I'd go and see this if they come here, but given how this is selling on their home turf - I doubt it'll make it this far
