"Mankind" is one of PJ's best songs lyrically.

today is the day stip. we agree on something. i think the song is one of the highlights from LB, which in my opinion, has just a few of them.

things i like on LB:

1) mind your tanners - entire song

2) the music to my father's son. i'm able to kinda tune out the lyrics and just focus on the music

3) sleeping by myself - entire song

4) the outtro to getaway

5) the first guitar solo of LB the song

6) pendulum - entire song

I don't mind the Corduroy call-and-response breakdown.

It works much better than the horrific football chant thing in Do the Evolution (which is doubly bad as they've been playing it for four or five years and still can't figure out how to return to the song afterward).

The Corduroy breakdown is actually quite cool - reminiscent of the 1996 Bridge version :nice:

I hope London or Wrigley 2013 get released one day because both shows had the breakdown without the call and response.

There's a corduroy breakdown that turns into a singalong?

I'm done with this band

I know. I watched episode one of roadies again and the given to fly section made me cry.

My Father's Son's lyrics are just fine.

It definitely works better than the "Do the Evolution" thing, but holy fuck does it completely deflate the song's peak drama point. I hate it.

Here's mine: I like pretty much all of S/T, and I mostly have no problem with the lyrics. I freaking loved that album when it came out, and even now the only thing really bothers me is the brickwalling.

Following Matt's lead: S/T is better than Riot Act.

I thought this for a long time but S/T has aged really poorly for me (especially over the last couple of years) and RA has slowly risen in my appreciation.
