It certainly can't clash with August 27, 2016.
So Matt is working on new Soundgarden album now. I assume they'd have to be close to done before he heads to South America with PJ in November.zeb wrote:http://www.gibson.com/News-Lifestyle/Features/en-us/Chris-Cornell-Interview-2015.aspx
September 2015 Interview
Thanks so much for the chat, Chris! Before we wrap up, what can you tell us about the upcoming Soundgarden album?
We have a bunch of new songs, and we’re working on them, and things are going really great. It’s really fun, and we’re definitely on the ground and running towards the next Soundgarden record. Everybody’s really motivated and so far. It’s been a great experience working on it.
Yeah I liked it just fine. A solid effort, especially after so much time away. Would dig something a bit heavier though.tragabigzanda wrote:Would be fine with this. I can't say I loved King Animal -- it feels a bit plodding at times -- but it is definitely the work of a band that is fully engaged in the creative process. Hopefully there are a few more faster numbers on the next one. Non-state Actor and Been Away Too Long were both fantastic (and great showcases for Matt).evenslow wrote:Quoting zeb from the Soundgarden thread:

New Soundgarden in 2016. New PJ in 2017.
I loved King Animal. But I am generally much more of a fan of the later Soundgarden albums (Superunknown - King Animal) than the earlier records.evenslow wrote:Yeah I liked it just fine. New Soundgarden in 2016. New PJ in 2017.

Well, Pearl Jam wasn't nominated for the Hall of Fame for 2016...so maybe it's 2017???? Were they eligible this year?joostone wrote:Yeah, that would be my guess...Got Some wrote:Recording after South American tour according to press reports.
So tour November 2015.
First recording session : Spring ??
During this SA tour they will discuss on what (some mellow, some rockers), how (just two weeks of recording please), when (whenever the kids are at school) and with which producer (after a long discussion where Jeff almost quits the band they settle on Brendan O'Brien).
They will probably have their first session in march. Then there will be some touring/releases by either Soundgarden (for which Matt saved his best songs), RNDM (for which Jeff saved his best songs), Vedder solo(for which..) and/or Brad (you get the point...)....Second session starts late 2016. Record will be released february 2017, or just about in time for their Rock N Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2017... (Or is that 2016..depends..whatever..). Then media will call it a return to form, RM forum will bitch, Jeff will bitch, but at least they will tour! T-shirts!! Posters!! Bootlegs!! Setlists!! But this tour will only last a couple of weeks after which we all start to get really anxious for Lost Dogs II (let it ride!!!).
From that list I would guess it would be Pearl Jam going in but being overshadowed at the induction ceremony by a 2Pac tribute.dprival78 wrote:http://www.futurerocklegends.com/future_eligibles.php
