I'd say it's the only "hard Rocker" SoF is more classic rock feeling

who was it who called that drum fill on WFS? I said it wasn't great and I was wrong, now that I can hear it a little better

I heard elements of every album from No Code to Gigaton... But this is something completely new from PJ. This is a band comfortable in their own skin, they're not afraid to sound fun and poppy. But unlike Backspacer (which obviously was shooting for something similar), these sounds provide more depth and are much more challenging.

Sound quality is terrible. It feels like a bootleg someone captured on a hand held tape recorder at an indoor concert. But it gives you the vibes of the songs.

Saying this publicly. This one is obvious as all fuck. It’s resting on laurels.

In time people will see Gigaton as the more important and interesting one.

Mark my words.
You told me this about rise of skywalker and you were wrong about that!
No I did not.

I had no love for that film and still don’t whatsoever by comparison to the previous films

It’s fine just as a romp. It’s no business being near the saga

That's disappointing.

I went to a listening party. Overall it felt like earthling two to me with a little bon jovi and heavy dose of mike mcready return to form (ten) blues solos. Stevie Ray vaugnish).

Drums and ending of react, respond stood out. Sadly one listen in, running is my favorite. I hope it sells units as intended. Wreckage might have some impact as a single.

I cant believe that like 50 people have a digital copy of this and no one can upload a proper leak?

Most interesting on first listen:
React, Respond
Upper Hand
Got to Give

Probably way overhyped but could still be solid:
Scared of Fear
Waiting For Stevie
Setting Sun

Plays an important role in the track flow:
Dark Matter
Running

Need some more listens, not the best first reaction:
Wreckage
Won't Tell
Something (Not So) Special (Except Mike's Guitar Tone)

I hope it's a grower, but for me it's going to be a battle between this and avocado for PJs worst. I love every record though.

Wow. Still no actual leak. Loving the reactions in here, though I think I’m going to abstain from the phone recordings.

It's just a link to a stream, they receive no digital copy.

I have listen to my poor quality cargo pants leak with really good headphones about 5 times , and I have to say the lyrics are very meditative. The songs are very emotional and loose, as in performance. Dark Matter is a certain freshness in the past decade of this band. As stated already very melodic and catchy , but in a very new contained kind of way. Like they were putting there all in to this album as a whole and as playing together for 30 years. And watt I think did help with that as a producer. I hope everyone did get a little something today from a band we love! Here's to hearing the real version or high quality leak!

Yes, that was my experience too but I think it actually helped with the recording, didn't get blasted out.

Who has a digital copy other than the record stores? That’s where many of us heard and recorded it today

two observations:

1. the drums / percussion on Setting Sun are straight from Let Me Sleep (it's Christmas Time)

2. the organ ambience from that Twitter clip isn't on the album
