I've been brainwashing myself with this. I've come to accept the second half but doubt ill ever love it. First half is better.

Took a Pearl Jam break for a few weeks. Lightning Bolt is still a fantastic cd. Miles ahead of Riot Act, Self Titled and Backspacer.

This is possibly, and only just possibly, their best since Self Titled. If they'd followed through with session 1 and release a 10 track album it would have been pretty good. But most of session 2 was written with a goal in mind and lacks because of it.
