Coastal Carolina down to the final four in the College baseball world series!
Baseball is Baseball!
I watched a 10U game today, tied 0-0 after 6. from that point on, they start with a runner on 2nd, with 1 out, and a 1-1 count the rest of the way. 8th inning both teams scored 1. 10th inning both teams scored another 1. 2-2 into the 12th inning, Visiting team scored 2. First 2 batters for the home team walked in the bottom half of the inning to load the bases with one out, down 2 runs. Pop-up/Blooper on the infield, Infield fly was called, ball drops, kid from 3rd goes and scores, kid from second tries to advance, thrown out at 3rd by a step. GAME OVER 4-3 visiting team won. By that point they were 40 mins over their time limit, so the next 2 teams were all watching, along with a handful of other teams (like my team) just a great game/atmosphere. Baseball is Baseball

I was flipping out about this earlier. Apparently, because they are having the game in NL parks for 4 straight years or something like that they are giving the AL home advantage in this one.

I expect it isn't news anywhere else, but the big thing in Canada this morning is that one of the guys singing the Canadian anthem last night decided to give it an extra political/racist twist.

Yeah, but the real answer is David Ortiz.

Genuinely curious how Chris is feeling about Verlander now, given that his success has been pretty sustained now, and more encouraging, he has the highest swing and miss rate on Fastballs in the AL this year and averaged 95 yesterday

I bet the Cubs trade for him and he helps them win the title and then he loves the contract. that's what i'd like to happen to honor his memory.

I sure hope one of the sports networks will cut in to Ichiro at bats when he needs one more for 3,000. He's at 2,994 right now. Dude is 42 and hitting .350? I love that guy so much.

In the Red Sox-Giants game tonight, Hanley Ramirez hit two 2-run home runs in his first two at-bats. In his third plate appearance, he got plunked in the elbow, took a step towards the mound, and on his way to first said to the pitcher, "I'll get you back." Next at-bat, he hit a home run on his first swing. This is fucking theater.

Sale never would have done that if leader Drake was still around. Of course a Reinsdorf run organization tries to lie and keep it in house only to be embarrassed publicly hours later.
