I lasted three runs in my pretty new campfire kinvaras before I slipped and fell. Left shoe pretty much totally caked in mud.

Do you blame the shoes?

No I blame myself. Looked like mostly dried mud but might as well have been black ice

Did a 7km run this morning. Really wasn't feeling it for the first 2km or so, then I kind of hit my pace. Definitely not my best run

Did 4 miles tonight. Only meant to do a quick 5k after it finally stopped raining. Pace was faster tonight with a cool front finally coming in. Don't even remember the extra mile.

Had to pull off and poop in the woods today. Found a nice tree to post up against. Hope the leaves I used to wipe with were legit.

I was hoping to do 3.5 today but my heart wasn’t in it. My legs felt fine and breathing wasn’t terrible, but 2 miles in and I kept thinking that I really don’t like running. Maybe it was just the heat. I had the exact same pace as Monday without pushing that hard at the very end, so I guess that’s acceptable.

Why am I an idiot? If you run long enough it happens.

I carry a couple of paper towels in my cell pouch for that very reason. I've heard of people sacrificing their shirts or hats too.
If you're lucky enough to run in a large city, you're never far from a porta-potty at a construction site though.

Paced out a 5k tonight and got over 30mi for the week. First time in a while. My Strava graph is experiencing exponential growth!
