should we go ahead make a separate thread in anticipation of the spritzy punk track that they will have on this and then once the song name is known change the thread title to be the song of the moment for that track because it is inevitable that the spritzy punk track will be their best foot forward although it will fall dramatically short of interesting because 60-year old men shouldn't attempt to make 20-year style music

i just heard about a blog post by Ed’s fluffer who heard the album and the spritzy punk track and he said it is the greatest 128 seconds of spritzy punk he has ever heard. the lyrics describe the experiences of hundreds of middle age men huddling in the tunnel of a baseball stadium during a heavy rainstorm and wondering if the merch stand will still be waiting for them when the monsoon passes. a true epic about men struggling to keep their dignity and quenching their insatiable thirst for knick knacks historically intended for minors. in the last verse, the protagonist catches a glimpse of himself in a restroom mirror as he is mid-argument with another man about tour poster containers and realizes that the music has begun, but he doesn’t care. he just wants the poster, to add to his collection of posters, in the room with no doors, which no one will see

Yes it’s just a matter of it’s before the tour starts or after now. I’m guessing before but it wouldn’t surprise me if it is after.

From memory they played “Lightning Bolt” Mind Your Manners” and “Future Days” live before Lightning Bolt (album) was released.

Worse case scenario we will definitely have at least one single off the album released by the European tour imho.

I’m hoping for a 15 track Binaural kind of thing.

Either way I know I’ll be excited when we have confirmation of any release date/album name/track list.

I hope they do the track list release like they did last time

Keep seeing rumours now about a april US tour that will be announced in january. And that a new album announcement is to be expected at the same time....

Reading the tea leaves it seems like an announcement in January for a new album and tour in March.
