Our twins turned 3 on Sunday, so having the election be the stressful thing we talk about before bed feels like a vacation.

My take is that most Trump people are gung.ho. about answering polling questions whereas those nontrump are not so

I've already voted but I circled by my polling place on the way into work. Five minutes before it was open there was a line of maybe 25 people. I'll do the same on the way home tonight; I'm curious of how the line will compare.

I drive past a couple polling places to and from work each day and they were mobbed every single day of early voting so I'm expecting huge Broward County turnout based on my very anecdotal experience and I'm drawing all of the conclusions.

So what’s the over/under when we have a called winner?
Wednesday at noon?

We're going to see a concerted effort by news outlets
tonight to convince people that Biden has it wrapped up even if it isn't official yet.

There was an excellent episode of the podcast The Daily last week that went back and examined the bungled 2000 election and the networks’ race to be the first to declare a winner, prompting them to prematurely call Florida for Gore while polls in the mostly Republican panhandle were still open. The conclusion was that we still haven’t learned our lesson.

Networks have never been a good source for news or insight. The need for competitive drama is just too high on tv.

Probably true.
I think this time it'll be less about the race to be first and more about trying to have a firmly established narrative in place that a Biden win is inevitable to counter whatever Trump says.

I have to drive 10 min round trip when my wife gets home this afternoon in order to vote. Here in MO, the odds of my vote contributing to a Biden win are so low, I’m considering just staying home. But it would be nice to vote for the first time in my life, just to say I did my part to get Satan out of office. I’ll probably go.

There are more things than just the president to vote for here in the Show Me State.
