Not even close. Unity killed a deal they had with Weta FX, the division responsible for developing tech.
Weta Digital is fine.

I'm confused by the story, but it's my understanding that Unity bought part of Weta from Peter Jackson, and Jackson's part of Weta rebranded as WetaFX. Then Unity shut down their Weta.

Oh yeah. I got the names wrong. My bad.
Basically a very small part of Weta was purchased by Unity then killed off. But Big Weta™ is still going strong.

DaCosta delivered a movie of approximately the same level of quality that Marvel has been releasing for the last 2 years. The first-decade goodwill is finally running out and it's catching up to them. Of course their response is to throw her under the bus
