Really going back and forth between thinking this was just OK and outright bad. It mostly felt very messy and very retconny, like a sequel to a movie that didn't actually happen

It is insane to interpret this as a troll post. These are legitimate criticismsdurdencommatyler wrote:You sure do post a lot about a thing that is meaningless and stupid and doesn't matter. If it doesn't matter, then why waste your time/money? Why bother showing up to troll people. Why go out of your way to piss people off? What kind of sad sack of a human are you? How cancerous and shitty is your life that the only joy you can find is to come to a Star Wars forum on a PEARL JAM message board and wave your dick around?BurtReynolds wrote:hah yes yes there are always more bodies. More star destroyers. more returning characters. Because none of this matters and its all very stupid, but hey, a line of dialogue explains it all away, right? ItS IN the mOvIe
Don't you have a fucking comic book to write?

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
Was there some explanation of the insane new powers that are in this one, or was this just typical JJ Abrams "make it more awesome!" bullshit? I might have missed it during a piss break or something.
I got the sense watching the originals that the Jedi weren't superheroes. They just had a little edge that gave them an advantage.
I suppose its inevitable with Hollywood sequels that things have to get more absurd, and Lucas already ramped up the powers a bit in the prequels, but now it's just world breaking.

Well, in the prequels, Palpatine ultimately lured Anakin to the dark side with the promise of being able to resurrect someone. So it's not a new idea. He mentioned that Plagueius was trying to do that as well before he killed him

It’s mad the way any attempt at discussion especially on events current, get hijacked by fucking morons who just want to be contrarian and pungent yet they’re allowed away with it.
