Live from Beverly Hills is Pearl Jam's 12th Studio Album, and features a return to form, courtesy Producer Brendan O'Brien. Fresh off the first tour since the end of COVID-19, Pearl Jam descended to the quaint recording studio of a close friend's Brentwood Estate, and in 2.5 days banged out a series of hot, tasty rockers. Co-sponsored by Givenchy, the Album represents Pearl Jam's first stint at product placement-oriented album writing. Each track is carefully constructed to feature a Givenchy product, which is available for sale via the band's referral link included in the digital download package. "Basically, we wanted to make a statement, following Gigaton, to let the world know we are still vibrant, still out there, still in the game, and still very very rich. If you can't afford it, you're not wanted", O'Brien is quoted as saying, from a tennis lounge chaise at his bayside Corpus Christi condo. Lead singer Ed Vedder was quoted as saying "We are so old now, we don't really have time for studio work, we need naps - so we basically outsourced the whole thing to Brad Pitt's house staff. They were surprisingly good at songwriting, so we let them roll within it. Then the Givenchy people showed up with a giant pile of money, and cocaine, and the rest is history. And somewhere along the lines, Boom may or may not have been sold to human traffickers, but I can't really remember bc there was so much cocaine involved". Live from Beverly Hills will be released on April 13th, available for pre-order via Bergdorf Goodman.
