well, i'm still waiting on leg 2.

based on the consensus here, that being that no one in this neck of the woods goes to pearl jam shows, i should be sitting on a stool next to matt.

but i'm still waiting, no change on web page, no charge to cc, no emails

Yup, thats why me and my friend signed up our brothers and get 4 shows that way. They mailed them in 98 - no will call. And when we chose the shows we didn't know which venues were GA or Reserved...was just a guess. Good times!

Did you have a tour buddy Strat? Pretty positive it was one show per member in 2000 too.

Yeah my bro was my tour buddy. We would pick a part of the country we wanted to go to and we each got a show. 00, 98 alpine we got tix locally and used our 10c tix elsewhere. It was good times.

That's exactly how they've said it works.

How is that fair to those who already put down that city as their 1st priority? They have their chance lessened because all the 2nd preference people get bumped up to 1st.

Yea but he wasnt a fan club. Hmm. I ll have to check my PJ history book! Perhaps I got ticketmaster for Alpine. And yea that was ridiculously freezing. We camped at some dudes farm too.... We were the only ones there - go figure.

IMO, what fucked this up was the separate option for GA. Even though it's exactly what was done for Wrigley and they explained it many times, I am sure having it as a separate priority screwed a ton of people out getting their first choice show. The 10c should have just allocated tickets to a show and if you were randomly selected for GA and don't want it, trade with another 10c member at the gate.

Funny. I'm going to whatever shows I want to anyways because I'll just pay for the tickets. I'm not worried. It's more a failure of this delivery system. It's not a lottery. If the intent is to limit FC members to be able to go to just one show, that's fine.

Then, people can re-evaluate whether or not they'll keep paying $40 dollars a year (or 20 if you don't collect the vinyl) for a band that has been treading water since 1996 and does more side projects than actual Pearl Jam songs... Mind Your Manners doesn't do anything other than replace WWS in a setlist from time to time. Last time I checked, they don't even play shit from Riot Act hardly ever. Maybe this album will be different and they can achieve the heights they once did but I doubt it...Eddie's smoking and his punk-heavy influences have made the band a rock-leaning punk outfit with a singer with thinning hair, iberal views that at times alienizes his fanbase, and a shell of them former selves. I get it, they are older... and yet they are still charging 8x what they used to, for a show that isn't as good. Maybe nostalgia is worth it.

I wouldn't need to see 2 weeks of PJ shows if they played only stuff from post Yield--> on. However, I bust my balls and I wanna be able to see several shows because I am a fan and have been for so long. I'll take a week or two from work and want to see 8 or 10 shows.

If Ten Club, by having a membership, will allow me to (possibly) see a single show, then that should be stated. This is not a lottery system. It totally defeats those fans (like me) who would like nothing more than to see multiple shows on a tour.

Oh well... hope you all had better luck. Probably didn't if the system works how it seems to work. At least it's automated so that the loss doesn't take 3 hours... it's an instant decision.

but hey, cool for the scalpers. They can set up 20 different memberships....open up accounts and put in for tickets then sell those bad boys for a pretty profit to the real fans who should have gotten the tickets in the first place. I guess that's one segment of the economy that is benefiting. Eddie's always looking out for those little guys.

2003 was the first tour for as many as you want. 1998 and 2000 were one show per member. 1995 and 1996 you had the option for a single to ticket to two shows or two tickets to one. 1995 was the first time they offered tickets to every single show on a tour (the US tour). In 1994 they let you buy tickets for fan club only shows in the city you lived in, but nothing for the non-fan club shows.

Agreed that this new system grants a huge advantage to people with multiple memberships. Having a number of 1st and 2nd preferences to use would greatly increase your chance of securing whatever tickets you want.

2. Bk 2 res
Problem is everyone was doing:
1. Bk 1 ga
2. Bk 1 res
3. Bk 2 ga

Or something along those lines. 3-4 have zero chance.

Dogs too. And Aunts. And Uncles. That is probably true. Maybe each member could only get one show but Both dogs, an aunt, father, father at office address, etc... I have heard such tales that things like this occurred. That could be why tickets were so easy to get.
