I started to roll my eyes when the space pop music started during Sabine’s race down the highway, as it evoked memories of that horrendous speeder gang. But, within a second, it felt right and I was grooving with it.

They put one on the falcon to track them to yavin in a new hope remember

I think it's because they got a physical tracking device on the ship. So they aren't tracking the ship through hyperspace, but they'll be able to get a signal from the tracking device wherever the ship ends up.
