Echoing the admiration for New Blue Sun by Andre 3000. The sound and atmosphere have me hooked. I can’t remember any other album where at times it feels like I’m listening to someone learning how to play an instrument and it sounds so good.

Yeah, no doubt. Amazing beats all the way through. Blockhead does some great hard hitting stuff. And this album just sounds nice when it’s loud. Pink Lemonade might be my favorite track on it. Every feature is great.

Happened to stumble across Boise Idaho native Trevor Powers new album as Youth Lagoon, Heaven is a Junkyard, and its a really rewarding listen. Excellent songwriting, great home spun production. A late entry in my albums of the year list for sure. Here's "Prizefighter":

Dan Auerbach curated a various artists blues release this year titled Tell Everybody! (21st Century Juke Joint Blues from Easy Eye Sound) and it very well fits my "workday certified" playlist. Nothing unexpected or groundbreaking here, but I do enjoy the gravelly blues contained within.
Here's Glenn (I see your) Schwartz (is as big as mine) with Joe Walsh doing "Daughter of Zion":
